Dr. Thomas Doherty provides pre-licensure supervision for mental health counselors, psychotherapists, marriage and family therapists, and psychology residents. He also provides ongoing supervision and consultation to mental health professionals. He is an internationally recognized expert on nature and mental health and the use of nature-based therapies.

Qualifications

  • Licensed psychologist in the State of Oregon, a National Register Health Service Psychologist, and a fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA)
  • 25 years of experience in settings ranging from inpatient hospital units, to private practice settings, to holistic health centers, to therapeutic wilderness expeditions
  • APA-Approved clinical training program and internship
  • Practice as a doctoral psychologist for 13 years
  • Faculty member at the Lewis & Clark Graduate School, founder of the innovative Ecopsychology Certificate program
  • Successful operation of a private psychology business Sustainable Self, LLC for a decade
  • Taught the Business of Psychology class at Pacific University Graduate school
